Field Recruitment Supervisor

Looking for a rewarding career where you play a vital role in saving lives? Look no further. Blood Bank of Hawaii is looking for a Field Recruitment Supervisor who is seeking a challenging and fulfilling job.

The successful candidate will report to and work collaboratively with the Director of Marketing & Recruitment and Donor Recruitment Account Managers (DRAM) to develop a successful mobile program, implement recruitment systems and achieve goals in order to meet the state’s blood needs.  The FRS will meet all regulatory guidelines, effectively and efficiently recruit volunteer blood donors while keeping donor and patient safety and customer service as primary concerns.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of the field recruitment staff.
  • Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates performance of assigned personnel.
  • Identifies and effectively resolves personnel issues.
  • Develops staff to increase productivity through routine direct observation and coaching of assigned personnel.
  • Monitor and execute monthly Key Performance Indicators.
  • Develops and evaluates strategies for motivating field recruitment staff to achieve recruitment objectives and minimize turnover.
  • Assures assigned personnel follows established recruitment plans and strategies.
  • Maintains systems and reports to ensure effective drive scheduling, planning and daily system management.
  • Responds to donor and coordinator needs and questions in a sensitive and professional manner. Relates and provides accurate information to the public in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Analyzes daily inventory needs and mobile efficiencies to manage, review, update and schedule blood drives/donors based on the needs of the organization.
  • Coordinates type-specific recruitment efforts with donor recruitment management to ensure adequate blood products based upon customer demands.
  • Organizes, maintains, and monitors blood donor groups in conjunction with BBH staff to ensure quality service is provided to individual donors and Lifesaver Clubs.  Develops and expands Lifesaver Clubs participation and penetration.
  • Oversees and manages computer based recruitment programs.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a focus on business administration or other related field preferred.

Experience/Skills

  • Minimum of 3-years previous supervisory experience with demonstrated customer service skills preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.  Able to read, write and speak English and give/receive detailed instructions/information verbally or in writing.
  • Good leadership and supervisory skills, able to be a good role model.
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to work with and service diverse individuals and provide excellent customer service
  • Ability to maintain professionalism with the staff, donors and public at all times.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management skills with ability to maintain composure and professionalism when working under time constraints.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to productively collaborate, meet goals/objectives and work well with others to ensure efficient and smooth operations.
  • PC literate and able to use Microsoft Office (Word and Excel); type 45 wpm.
